I am a software engineer, musician, and founder based in Los Angeles. I run Justyn Clark Network, a development studio and production operation I started in 2008.
My work sits at the intersection of software systems, AI infrastructure, and media. I build tools for deterministic execution, multi-agent orchestration, and operational workflows that need to survive real use across machines, agents, and time.
What I build
SMALL Protocol is a state protocol for AI-legible systems. It makes intent, constraints, progress, and handoff explicit and auditable. Musketeer is a governed execution harness for role-separated AI work. loopexec is a bounded loop execution runtime for multi-agent systems.
I also build and maintain JustBeatz Music, a sync music platform for film, series, podcasts, and games.
How I work
The studio runs on a distributed Apple Silicon stack: Mac Studio M1 64GB as the primary workstation, Mac mini M1 as the always-on operator node, MacBook Air M2 for mobile development, and Tailscale tying it together as a private network.
An operator agent handles background work, scheduled checks, and system events under bounded governance. A file-system Vault serves as the durable source of truth. Every meaningful state change produces a receipt.
The operating principle is simple: tools should be trustable, state should be findable, and actions should be explainable.
Background
Over the past 18 years I have built products and platforms in-house at companies across technology, media, entertainment, gaming, and fitness. I have shipped full-stack applications, backend systems, schema-driven architectures, audio and video pipelines, and tooling for long-running workflows where determinism and recoverability are not optional.
I personally provide solutions for small businesses, organizations, personal brands, and startups through JCN.
